Building a better conference
The IUSSP International Population Conference (IPC 2021) is the world’s only global scientific population conference. First organized in 1927 and held every four years since 1959, the conference brings together over 2,000 scientists, policymakers and practitioners from around the globe to present and discuss the latest research on contemporary population and development issues.
IPC 2021 presents a unique opportunity for public and private, national and international organizations and civil society to showcase and promote their services and products and inform and engage with a global audience in the broad and multidisciplinary field of population studies.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, IPC2021 will be an entirely virtual conference. The conference will offer round-the-clock sessions to enable participants from all over the world to join.
The support of sponsors is vital for the success of IPC 2021, because a virtual conference platform is expensive. It also offers access to a potentially larger and broader audience than an onsite conference.
IPC 2021 offers a wide range of sponsorship opportunities on both the scientific and social programme of the Conference, and we can tailor these to sponsors’ objectives and priorities. We will work with all budgets to achieve significant impacts for sponsoring organizations. Become a Sponsor
The International Population Conference of the IUSSP convenes every four years and is a unique event in its own right. It allows sponsors the opportunity to connect with the multidisciplinary global population research community. Sponsors can share their messages, services and products with conference participants, interact with a global audience of experts, and demonstrate their support for the IUSSP and, more broadly, the world community of population specialists. As knowledge partners, sponsors help to strengthen international networks and collaboration and will be recognized on the conference website and programme and other related media. Sponsorship fees for virtual IUSSP sessions will cover participation costs from low and middle-income country participants as well as the costs of the virtual platform and supporting facilities.

IPC 2021 offers a wide range of sponsorship opportunities both for the scientific and social programme of the Conference. Sponsorship opportunities are specified below and can be tailored to the objectives and priorities of the sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities can also be combined in packages:
The Macro Population Package
This premium support package is aimed at leading knowledge partners of IPC 2021 and provides generic support to the organization of the conference and includes:
• sponsorship of up to 20 scientific sessions (your logo will appear on each session you will be sponsoring, with the option to project a short video message supplied by the sponsor at the start of the session)
• inputs into one Keynote, Round Table or Debate Session
• a Hello bar pop-up advertisement that appears when attendees log on to the conference website
• a virtual Exhibition booth
• up to four complimentary Conference registrations.
Cost: Euro 25,000
The Meso Population Package
This premium support package provides generic support to IPC 2021 for major knowledge partners and includes:
• sponsorship of up to 15 scientific sessions (your logo will appear on each session you will be sponsoring)
• inputs into one Keynote, Round Table or Debate Session
• a Hello bar pop-up advertisement that appears when attendees log on to the conference website
• a virtual Exhibition booth
• up to three complimentary Conference registrations
Cost: Euro 20,000
The Micro Population Package
This package provides generic support to IPC 2021 for knowledge partners and includes:
• sponsorship of up to 10 scientific sessions (your logo will appear on each session you will be sponsoring)
• inputs into one Keynote, Round Table or Debate Session
• a Hello bar pop-up advertisement that appears when attendees log on to the conference website
• a virtual Exhibition booth
• up to two complimentary Conference registrations
Cost: Euro 15,000
Full-Day Sponsorship Package
Sponsor one full day of the Conference for maximum visibility and impact in the day’s 40 regular sessions and events. This package includes:
• online visibility (logo) in all sessions of the day
• inputs into one Keynote, Round Table or Debate Session
• a virtual Exhibition booth
• up to two complimentary Conference registrations
Cost: Euro 15,000
India Day Sponsorship Packages
These packages are being organized to allow for maximum visibility and impact during the virtual India Day sessions. These will include:
• sponsorship for the 9 India Day sessions (your logo will be appear on each session you will be sponsoring)
• a virtual Exhibition booth
• up to two complimentary conference registrations.

Conference Theme Sponsorship Package
Sponsor a Conference Theme of your choice for major visibility and impact with a focus. This package includes:
• online visibility (logo) in a series of related sessions (10 to 15) of a particular Theme
• inputs in the scope of one related Keynote or Round Table
• a Hello bar pop-up advertisement that appears when attendees log on to the conference website
• a virtual Exhibition booth
• up to two complimentary Conference registrations
Cost: Euro 15,000
Keynote/Round Table/Debate Session Package
Sponsor a Keynote or Round Table/Debate session for focused exposure, impact and visibility. This package also offers:
• sponsorship of the selected session (your logo will appear on the session you will be sponsoring)
• a virtual Exhibition booth
• up to two complimentary Conference registrations.
Cost: Euro 5,000
Sponsored Research Leader Sessions
A limited number of Research Leader Sessions are available for the virtual conference program. Become a knowledge partner and raise awareness of your organization’s work in the population field by submitting a session proposal for IPC 2021. Proposals should include a description of the session topic with a global or regional focus and speakers from more than one country or institution. The organizers will review proposals and select those of high scientific quality and/or policy relevance and impact.
The deadline to submit a proposal for a Research Leader Session is 15 September 2021.
Interested partners are invited to contact us at IPC2021@iussp.org at their earliest convenience.
Cost: Euro 10,000 for a 90-minute virtual Research Leader Session including registration fees for speakers in the session.
Scientific Sessions Package
Sponsor one or more regular sessions that are of special interest to your organization for focused visibility and impact. Select your preference from over 200 scientific sessions in the virtual programme. This package includes:
• visibility during the session (online logo)
• an announcement on the Conference website
Cost: Euro 2,000 per session.
Simultaneous Translation Package
Simultaneous interpretation for better connectivity of participants may be provided for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and selected regular sessions depending on funding. Sponsor simultaneous interpretation English/French or another language of your choice for these events.
Cost: Euro 2,000 per language for one 90-minute session.
Breakout Area Package
Sponsor a virtual breakout area where participants interact and meet the authors after sessions end. Excellent visibility in a relaxed setting.
Cost: Euro 2,500 per breakout area.
Virtual Exhibition Booth Package
A virtual booth at IPC 2021 gives wide visibility to your organization on the virtual conference platform for up to 1 month. Depending on technical facilities, it may include options for interaction, such as meetings with participants during the conference. Cost Euro 500.
